All parent and paid umpires are managed by Umpire Coordinator, Jim Collins. Jim can be reached at 312-312-848-1067 or [email protected]
As an all volunteer organization, parents are required to complete umpire and concession stand duties as a condition of participation in our leagues. As such, parents are scheduled as needed to umpire all games in our leagues. If a parent does not wish to umpire their assigned game(s), he/she may choose to "buyout" of their duty for $20. When a parent buys out of an umpire duty, the umpire coordinator will arrange for a paid umpire to work the game.
Paid umpires must follow the rules and regulations set forth by the umpire coordinator to participate in our umpire program. Umpires are evaluated by coaches after each game. Additional training is provided as needed, and umpires who excel are eligible for additional pay and scheduling bonuses.
